Clean sanitary water is the greatest medical leap forward in the past 200 years; lack of it in people's homes and schools affects livelihoods in many ways. People spend more time in search of drinking water than doing vital domestic or income generating work. Many children cannot go to school after drinking dirty and unsafe water due to infection which are often fatal.

Our priority is to provide clean drinking water supplies and sanitation sustainable in the long term – with added value in the advancement of education and the preservation of lives against poverty and sickness.

We will target especially countries or areas affected by

  • war or natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe,
  • where other similar charities are not working,

The Running Water Trust aims to work in partnership with local people and other national and international organisations bringing together the expertise of many in the installation of powered Water systems. At the same time we will train local people in maintaining safe water systems within their communities.  By raising people’s understanding of killer water-borne diseases we will enable them permanently to benefit from safe and clean drinking water.

We believe the need for clean drinking water is paramount.
